- 1They find your bot — through a t.me link in your bio or an ad, or a “Chat on Telegram” button under the replies your Instagram and Facebook posts already send.
- 2They press Start. A link like t.me/yourbot?start=offer opens the exact flow you wrote for that ad, with buttons to tap instead of questions to type.
- 3Your rules answer word for word. With the AI on, anything else is answered from your notes and your store — in their language, in seconds.
- 4When they decide, the cart goes to your own checkout. You get the order; the money never passes through us.
- 5Anything it cannot answer lands in your inbox, marked, with the whole chat attached.
- 6Next week you have news. One broadcast, and all of them hear it.
How Telegram works — the parts worth knowing
Telegram is the most open of the chat apps for a business. These are the few lines it still draws.
- They press Start first
- A bot can only write to somebody who has started it. After that there is no 24-hour limit, which is exactly why broadcasts belong here: the people on your list asked to hear from you.
- The bot is its own account
- Replies come from your bot, not from your personal Telegram. Its token is the key to it, so keep it private. If it ever leaks, send /revoke to @BotFather and paste the new one here — nothing else changes.
- In groups, it only sees what admins see
- Telegram hides group messages from bots that are not admins. That is why the bot has to be an admin of your discussion group before it can answer comments under your posts.
- Blocking is final
- Anyone who blocks your bot stops receiving from it, broadcasts included. They are skipped quietly, and you are never charged for a message that could not arrive.
What you need to start
- A Telegram bot. You can make one free in @BotFather in about a minute, or use the one you already run. You paste its token here — we never ask for your Telegram login.
- For comments: your channel needs a discussion group, with the bot added as an admin of that group.
- For “Our Telegram channel” buttons under your Instagram and Facebook replies: make the bot an admin of the channel and it links itself.
- Moving from another tool? Import your subscribers from a CSV of their Telegram ids and broadcast to them from day one.
- It works on every plan. The bot counts as one of your connected accounts.
